Softball Game Preview: Longview Lobos vs. Rockwall-Heath Hawks

The Longview Lobos will challenge the Rockwall-Heath Hawks at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Longview barely beat Tyler Legacy the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Lobos were the clear victors by a 19-8 margin over the Raiders on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Lobos, who have now won nine games by six runs or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Rockwall-Heath posted their closest win since February 28th on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out Royse City 3-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Hawks.

Kelsey Wathen was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Jada Williams, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases.

Longview's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 13-12. As for Rockwall-Heath, their win bumped their record up to 10-14.
