Basketball Recap: Albert Lea Takes a Loss

Albert Lea lost against Simley back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Albert Lea Tigers were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 41-40 to the Simley Spartans.

Albert Lea dropped their record down to 1-7 with the loss, which was their 17th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Simley, their win bumped their record up to 2-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Albert Lea will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on La Crescent at 5:00 p.m. on December 27th. Simley and Two Rivers will compete for holiday cheer at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
