Softball Recap: Johnson County Takes a Loss

Johnson County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They came up short against the Rye Cove Eagles, falling 9-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-1 on Wednesday.

Johnson County's loss dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Rye Cove, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-1.

Looking ahead, Johnson County will welcome Chuckey-Doak at 5:00 a.m. on Thursday. As for Rye Cove, they will head out to face off against Thomas Walker at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The match will give the Eagles their first taste of in-conference action this season.
