Sinton has gone 9-1 against Ingleside recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Sinton Pirates will square off against the Ingleside Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Sinton barely beat Odem the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Sinton put the hurt on Odem with a sharp 21-0 win on Wednesday. That 21 run margin sets a new team best for the Pirates this season.

Meanwhile, Ingleside entered their tilt with Goliad on Tuesday with two consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with three. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-4 victory over the Tigers. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Mustangs have posted since February 14th.

Kylee Ward made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out 11 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off two hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one triple and two RBI. That triple marked the first that she hit this season.

Ward wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Carol Rodriquez, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-4. Beth Aceves was another, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

Sinton's victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-8. As for Ingleside, their record is now 11-6.

Sinton skirted past Ingleside 3-2 in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Sinton since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
