Recap: Charles Henderson Trojans vs. Carroll Eagles
The Charles Henderson Trojans came tearing into Thursday's game with nine straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16.9 points) and they left with even more momentum. They enjoyed a cozy 70-53 win over Carroll. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Charles Henderson also won the last time the pair played back in January.
Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Devon Pruitt, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds. Pruitt has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Michael Culver, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds.
Charles Henderson pushed their record up to 19-10 with that win, which was their eighth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.6 points per game. As for Carroll, their defeat dropped their record down to 20-7.
Charles Henderson does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Carroll, they will head out on the road to square off against Vigor at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Carroll focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Thursday.
