Volleyball Recap: Northern Adirondack Bobcats vs. Plattsburgh Hornets

Northern Adirondack was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Plattsburgh Hornets. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bobcats of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2023.

The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-16, 25-20.

Several Bobcats players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Reese LaFave, who had three aces. LaFave is crushing it when it comes to aces: she's served at least three every time she's taken the court this season.

Even though they lost, Northern Adirondack was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in four consecutive matchups dating back to last season.

It was another big night for Sadie Walker, who had five aces and 19 assists for Plattsburgh. The team also got some help courtesy of Cali Ryerson, who had four aces.
