Lincoln County barely beat Columbia Central the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Falcons were the clear victors by a 9-3 margin over the Lions on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Falcons, who have now won 13 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

The victory (which was Lincoln County's fourth in a row) raised their record to 17-7. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Columbia Central, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lincoln County will head out to square off against Lawrence County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Falcons 3.5, the Wildcats 4) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Columbia Central, they will head out on the road to challenge Loretto at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
