Basketball Recap: Walled Lake Central Comes Up Short

Walled Lake Central lost against West Bloomfield back in February of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Walled Lake Central Vikings fell just short of the West Bloomfield Lakers by a score of 56-54. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Vikings came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 35th in Michigan, while the Lakers are ranked 194th in Michigan).

With the loss, Walled Lake Central broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 18-5. As for West Bloomfield, they moved to 6-16 with that victory, which also ended their 11-game losing streak.

Walled Lake Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for West Bloomfield, they will take on St. Mary's Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. St. Mary's Prep will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something West Bloomfield surely won't give up without a fight.
