Soccer Game Preview: McNary vs. Sprague

The McNary Celtics are taking a road trip to challenge the Sprague Olympians at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

McNary is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering South Salem just ended the team's three-match winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of the Saxons by a score of 1-0.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Sprague's offense. They fell just short of West Salem by a score of 1-0 on Friday. Sprague fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against West Salem since Friday.

McNary's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 5-5. As for Sprague, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-8.

McNary beat Sprague 4-2 in their previous matchup back in September. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Celtics since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
