Basketball Recap: Bethel Christian Academy's Loss Ends Three-Game Winning Streak at Home

Bethel Christian Academy lost against Invest Collegiate Imagine on January 9th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Bethel Christian Academy Crusaders took a 67-50 bruising from the Invest Collegiate Imagine Kingfishers. The Crusaders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Asa Gura was his usual excellent self, going 11 for 19 en route to 26 points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals for Invest Collegiate Imagine. The dominant performance gave Gura a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Terrence Latek, who posted 12 points and six boards.

Bethel Christian Academy's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-8. As for Invest Collegiate Imagine, they pushed their record up to 10-3 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Bethel Christian Academy and Independent Athletic Ministries will face off at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest having both just played. Independent Athletic Ministries is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.6 points per game this season. As for Invest Collegiate Imagine, they are taking a road trip to take on Asheville T at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Invest Collegiate Imagine knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five games -- so hopefully Asheville T likes a good challenge.
