It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Cooper had no problem doing just that on Friday. They blew past the Sam Rayburn Rebels 11-1. Winning may never get old, but Cooper sure is getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

Chani Sonntag spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered one run (which was unearned) on two hits and racked up 12 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't pitched less than five innings in ten consecutive pitching appearances.

On the hitting side, Shyanne Smith and Lexie Reed did most of the damage at the plate: Smith scored a run while going 1-for-2, while Reed scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

Cooper has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a massive bump to their 10-7 record this season. As for Sam Rayburn, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-11.

Cooper will face off against Crawford at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The last three games Crawford has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. Sam Rayburn does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
