Basketball Recap: Newton Comes Up Short

Newton lost against Pella back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Newton Cardinals took a 62-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pella Dutch. The Cardinals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Newton's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Pella, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-2.

Newton will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Hoover at 7:45 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Pella will also get a bit of a break before their next game: they'll face off against Knoxville at 7:45 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
