The Sunlake Seahawks will venture away from home to face off against the Wharton Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Sunlake is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.6 runs per game this season.

On Thursday, Sunlake came up short against Springstead and fell 4-1. The Seahawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Sunlake got a good showing from Sydney Walker, who tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Walker has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Wharton duked it out with Durant on Thursday. The Wildcats fell 4-0 to the Cougars.

Wharton saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Eliza Connell, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Sunlake's loss dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Wharton, they now have a losing record of 7-8.
