Softball Recap: Logan Comes Up Short in High-Profile Game with West Field

Logan faced West Field in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Grizzlies took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Longhorns. Having soared to a lofty 16 runs in the game before, the Grizzlies couldn't push the score so high this time.

Miley Allen made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one triple and one RBI.

Logan's defeat dropped their record down to 11-9. As for West Field, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.

Logan will challenge Herriman at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for West Field, they will square off against Mountain Crest at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The last three games the Mustangs have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
