Softball Recap: Yorktown Wildcats vs. Pettus Eagles

Yorktown scored the most runs they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Pettus Eagles with a sharp 22-2 win. The victory was some much needed relief for Yorktown as it spelled an end to their six-game losing streak.

Kaylor Carriger made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Carriger was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while getting on base in two of her four plate appearances.

In other batting news, Yorktown got a massive performance out of DJ Maciel, who scored four runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. Faith Everitt was another key contributor, scoring three runs while going 2-for-3.
