Basketball Recap: Creekside Christian Academy Beats Greene County for Their Eighth Straight Win

Creekside Christian Academy waltzed into their matchup on Friday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Greene County Tigers 65-20. The Cougars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 22 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Creekside Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Trinity Grant, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 16 rebounds. Grant has been hot, having posted eight or more boards the last seven times she's played. Kyra Ware was another key player, going 7 of 10 on her way to 15 points along with six assists and four steals.

Creekside Christian Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 22 offensive boards. That's the most offensive boards they've posted since back in January.

Creekside Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Greene County, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.

Creekside Christian Academy and Lovejoy will face off at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Lovejoy has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Greene County, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Dutchtown at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
