Fairfax piles up the points against West Springfield

Recap: Fairfax Lions vs. West Springfield Spartans

There's no place like home for the Fairfax Lions, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road on Monday. They blew past West Springfield 74-43 at home. That 74-43 margin sets a new team best for Fairfax this season.

Fairfax had a senior duo take command as Cam Love scored 21 points along with six rebounds and Ronier Peters scored eight points along with 12 assists and six rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Love has scored at least 25% of Fairfax's points. Elijah Thomas was another key contributor, scoring ten points.

Fairfax has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. As for West Springfield, they bumped their record down to 1-5 with that loss, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Fairfax will finish 2023 at home by hosting Justice at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Justice is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak. West Springfield will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against North Point at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. North Point presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than West Springfield in their respective states (North Point is ranked 157th in Maryland, while West Springfield is ranked 350th in Virginia).
