Baseball Recap: Chen Takes a Loss

After soaring to 17 runs the game before, Chen was a bit more limited in their game on Tuesday. They fell 4-1 to the Glenelg Country Dragons. The Chargers have struggled against the Dragons recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Anthony Siani put in work no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

Chen now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Glenelg Country, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-13 record this season.

Chen will face off against Riverdale Baptist at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Glenelg Country does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
