Sale Creek has been on the road for three straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Lookout Valley Yellowjackets at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Sale Creek is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Lookout Valley in Tennessee (Sale Creek is ranked 178th, while Lookout Valley is ranked 381st).
Sale Creek can now show off ten landslide victories after their most recent game on Tuesday. They blew past Chattanooga School for the Liberal Arts 63-16 on the road.
Sale Creek's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Madilynn Ellis, who scored nine points along with two steals. Another player making a difference was Leighton Mckee, who scored nine points.
Something new happened on Tuesday as Mckee saw her first action of the season, playing 12 minutes against Chattanooga School for the Liberal Arts. Mckee made the most of the opportunity, scoring nine points. A few more games like that and she might be seeing even more time going forward.
Meanwhile, Lookout Valley's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight defeat. They were beaten by Copper Basin 51-13. Lookout Valley was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-7.
Sale Creek has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 20-5 record this season. As for Lookout Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 6-8.
