Basketball Recap: Doane Academy vs. Morristown-Beard Crimson        
        
		
            
 It may have taken  overtime to finish the job, but Doane Academy ultimately got the result they hoped for  on Friday. In a tight  matchup that could have gone either way, they made off with a  65-64 victory over Morristown-Beard. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
 Doane Academy was led to victory by  Kameron Fields and  Nick Fusco.  Fields  scored 13 points along with two  steals, while  Fusco  scored 25 points along with five  assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points  Fields has scored all season.  Hiatt Smith was another key contributor,  scoring eight points along with ten  rebounds.
 The  victory  makes it two in a row for Doane Academy and  bumps their season record up to 6-14. As for Morristown-Beard,  this is  the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 3-12.
 Doane Academy is on the road again  on Sunday and plays the Renegades at 10:00  a.m.  on February 4th. Shawnee presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the  in New Jersey (the Renegades are ranked 88th, while the  are ranked 347th). As for Morristown-Beard, they will be playing at home against the Bombers at 7:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
