Softball Recap: Spartanburg Comes Up Short

Spartanburg fell victim to James F. Byrnes and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They lost 22-0 to the Rebels. Having soared to a lofty 16 runs in the game before, the Vikings' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Spartanburg dropped their record down to 7-13 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for James F. Byrnes, they are on a roll lately: they've won 19 of their last 20 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-3 record this season.

Spartanburg does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for James F. Byrnes, they will take on Clover at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
