Basketball Preview: Dilley Wolves vs. Cotulla Cowboys
Dilley is on a three-game streak of home losses, the Cowboys a five-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. The Dilley Wolves will take on the Cotulla Cowboys at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Friday, Dilley came up short against the Mustangs and fell 52-40. Dilley has struggled against the Mustangs recently, as their match on Friday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, Cotulla pushed their score all the way to 70 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 87-70 bruising from Crystal City. While losing is never fun, Cotulla can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1555th, while the Javelinas are ranked 686th).
Dilley has not been sharp recently as the team's lost 11 of their last 13 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-19 record this season. As for Cotulla, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-19.
