Basketball Recap: Warner Robins Demons vs. Jones County Greyhounds
Warner Robins fought the good fight in their overtime game against Jones County on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 58-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Greyhounds. While the Demons didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Greyhounds 13-7 in the first quarter.
Justin Ray was the offensive standout of the matchup as he went 7-for-14 en route to 19 points and seven rebounds. That's the most boards he has posted since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of K.J. Gray, who earned 13 points.
Warner Robins' loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
Warner Robins wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 67-54 defeat against Baldwin on the 20th. As for Jones County, they will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Kendrick at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.
