Volleyball Game Preview: Calvary Christian Knights vs. Stratford Academy Eagles

The Calvary Christian Knights will take on the Stratford Academy Eagles at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Stratford Academy took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Calvary Christian, who comes in off a win.

Calvary Christian barely beat LaGrange Academy the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Knights blew past LaGrange Academy 3-0 on Tuesday. The Knights haven't had any issues with LaGrange Academy recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Calvary Christian took every set by at least ten points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-15, 25-12.

Meanwhile, after a string of nine wins, Stratford Academy's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell just short of Sherwood Christian Academy by a score of 3-2.

Stratford Academy took Sherwood Christian Academy into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking two-point loss. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-20, 24-26, 19-25, 17-15.

Calvary Christian's win bumped their record up to 22-6. As for Stratford Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 19-12.

Calvary Christian was able to grind out a solid victory over Stratford Academy in their previous matchup back in August, winning 2-0. Do the Knights have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
