Basketball Recap: Locust Valley Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Locust Valley can now relate to. They came up short against the Valley Stream North Spartans on Friday, falling 59-39. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Spartans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 61-54 back in December of 2024.

Locust Valley's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Valley Stream North, their victory bumped their record up to 11-4.

Locust Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Valley Stream North, they will venture away from home to square off against Friends Academy at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday. Friends Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Valley Stream North likes a good challenge.
