Football Recap: Southern Wells Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Southern Wells, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They came out on top against the Jay County Patriots by a score of 21-14 on Friday. The score was all tied up 7-7 at the break, but the Raiders were the better team in the second half.

Trey Slusher was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 172 yards and a pair of TDs, and also threw for 101 yards and one touchdown while completing 71.4% of his passes.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Southern Wells' defense and their four sacks. Jay County's QB won't forget Alden Dollar anytime soon given he sacked him twice.

Southern Wells' first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Jay County, they now also have a losing record of 1-2.
