Basketball Recap: Providence Country Day Falls to Ponaganset in First Game of Season + How To Watch

Providence Country Day unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a 69-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ponaganset Chieftains on Friday. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it five in a row.

Providence Country Day's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Gabriel Johnson, who posted 25 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Maddux Fredericks, who had 14 points.

The win got Ponaganset back to even at 1-1.
