Baseball Preview: Hendersonville Commandos vs. Gallatin Green Wave
The Hendersonville Commandos will head out to square off against the Gallatin Green Wave at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Hendersonville is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering University Heights just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell 8-4 to the Blazers.
Hendersonville saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cameron Creel, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2. Joe Mosley also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
Meanwhile, Gallatin fell victim to Green Hill and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hawks. The Green Wave haven't had much luck with the Hawks recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.
Gallatin now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Hendersonville, their loss dropped their record down to 14-6.
Hendersonville beat Gallatin 5-2 when the teams last played back in May of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Commandos since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
