Baseball Recap: Etiwanda Snaps Five-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Etiwanda's rock-solid pitchers showed up for the team's third consecutive shutout on Friday. They walked away with a 5-0 victory over the Tesoro Titans.

Nico Hamilton looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (four).

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Josh Adams, who scored three runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. He has become a key player for Etiwanda: the team is 2-0-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 1-4 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Lj Roellig, who scored a run while going 1-for-4.

Etiwanda's win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-4-1. As for Tesoro, their loss was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-8.
