Basketball Recap: Pompton Lakes Takes a Loss

Pompton Lakes has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They took a blow against the Waldwick Warriors on Wednesday, falling 64-24. The Cardinals lost against the Warriors in their previous head to head back in February of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 47-36 score last time.

Pompton Lakes' loss ended an eight-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 6-2. As for Waldwick, their victory was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-5.

Pompton Lakes will venture away from home to square off against Eastern Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Waldwick, they will host Park Ridge at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
