Softball Recap: Greenbrier West Takes a Loss

Greenbrier West and Wahama squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Greenbrier West had to settle for second. They fell 11-6 to the White Falcons. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the White Falcons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-4 on Wednesday.

Madalyn Fields was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Brooklyn Adkins was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI.

Greenbrier West's loss dropped their record down to 19-10. As for Wahama, their win bumped their record up to 29-8.

Greenbrier West does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Wahama, they will face off against Pendleton County at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Wildcat will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something the White Falcons surely won't give up without a fight.
