Soccer Recap: Dunedin Takes a Loss

Dunedin and Montverde Academy squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Dunedin had to settle for second. They came up short against the Montverde Academy Eagles, falling 8-0. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 176th, while the Eagles are ranked fifth).

This is the second loss in a row for Dunedin and nudges their season record down to 8-7. As for Montverde Academy, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 18-1.

Dunedin does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Montverde Academy, they will host McKeel Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Montverde Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.8 goals per game this season.
