If Northern Michigan Christian wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Pine River Area, they should've done a better job of containing Eli Smith. The Bucks took their contest on Thursday with ease, bagging a 58-30 win over the Comets with plenty of help from Smith, who went 9-for-14 en route to 21 points. He is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last three games he's played dating back to last season.

Pine River Area has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 55.5 points this season. As for Northern Michigan Christian, they now have a losing record of 1-2.
