Football Recap: Hendersonville Skates Past Owen with Ease

Hendersonville never let their opponents score on Friday. They took their game with ease, bagging a 40-0 win over the Owen Warhorses. The victory continues a trend for the Bearcats in their matchups with the Warhorses: they've now won five in a row.

Hendersonville got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jordan Buford out in front who rushed for 199 yards and two scores while picking up 11.1 yards per carry. With that strong performance, Buford is now averaging an impressive 113.3 rushing yards per game. The team also got some help courtesy of JaRon Ward, who rushed for 55 yards and one touchdown.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Hendersonville was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 307 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 176 rushing yards in five consecutive matchups.

Hendersonville's record is now 6-1. As for Owen, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-4.
