Basketball Recap: Leroy's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Leroy extended their winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Ian White. The Leroy Bears walked away with a 46-36 victory over the McIntosh Demons on Thursday thanks in part to White, who went 7 for 14 en route to 18 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals. The match was his third in a row with at least ten points.

Another player making a difference was Ja'Kavien Collins, who posted three points along with seven boards and three steals. He has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last seven times he's played.

When it comes to explaining why McIntosh lost, don't look at Corey Williams. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds. McIntosh is 2-1 when Williams posts eight or more boards, but 5-9 otherwise. Brayden Dixon also deserves some recognition as he grabbed his first steal of the season.

The win got Leroy back to even at 6-6. As for McIntosh, they dropped their record down to 7-10 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Leroy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 43-40 victory against Millry on the 17th. McIntosh has also already played their next contest (against Southern Choctaw), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
