Volleyball Recap: Amelia Baldree's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Beacon of Hope Christian over Varsity Opponent

Beacon of Hope Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Varsity Opponent. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against Varsity Opponent this season, with their most recent loss being a 3-0 defeat last Thursday.

Beacon of Hope Christian actually scored more points across those four sets (90-85), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-23, 10-25, 25-19.

Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Amelia Baldree, who had nine aces. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Carter, who had seven aces.

Beacon of Hope Christian's loss dropped their record down to 1-9.

Coming up, Beacon of Hope Christian will challenge Non Varsity Opponent at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Varsity Opponent, they have already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Calvary Christian on the 17th.
