Football Game Preview: Plantation Colonels vs. Blanche Ely Tigers + Official Tickets

The Plantation Colonels will square off against the Blanche Ely Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Plantation will be strutting in after a win while Blanche Ely will be coming in after a loss.

On Friday, Plantation slipped by Archbishop McCarthy 28-27.

Zachariah Ray produced another solid performance rushing for 112 yards and one touchdown on only 12 carries, while also picking up 35 receiving yards and one score.

Meanwhile, Blanche Ely fell victim to Chaminade-Madonna and their airtight defense on Monday. They had to suffer through a 60-0 loss at the hands of the Lions. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 115th, while the Lions are ranked third).

Plantation now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Blanche Ely, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-4 record this season.

Plantation couldn't quite finish off Blanche Ely in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 and fell 18-16. Thankfully for the Colonels, Shawn Paschall (who rushed for 165 yards and a pair of TDs while picking up 7.9 yards per carry) won't be suiting up this time.
