Basketball Recap: Augusta Prep Comes Up Short + How To Watch

After a string of three wins, Augusta Prep's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 50-49 to the Aquinas Fightin' Irish. The Cavaliers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Fightin' Irish apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2024.

Despite the loss, Augusta Prep still got an impressive performance from Austin Luke, who posted 22 points. The game was Luke's third in a row with at least 18 points. Chandler Ardis was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Augusta Prep now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Aquinas, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 2-3 record.

Looking ahead, Augusta Prep will take on Horse Creek Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.
