Basketball Recap: Carroll Triumphs

Carroll posted their closest victory since January 7th on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the New Brockton Gamecocks, sneaking past 51-48. The win continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Gamecocks: they've now won five in a row.

Carroll had a senior duo take command as Zymirra Glanton posted 24 points in addition to five assists and three steals and Frankasia Glover dropped a double-double with ten points and 12 boards. Glanton is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Zuri Steele, who scored two points along with 16 rebounds and five steals.

Carroll smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 24 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive rebounds every time they've taken the court this season.

Carroll's record is now 10-3. As for New Brockton, they now have a losing record of 4-5.
