Basketball Recap: Toppenish Piles Up the Points Against Quincy

Toppenish waltzed into their game on Wednesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They blew past the Quincy Jackrabbits 74-24. The Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine contests by 32 points or more this season.

Toppenish's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Tatiana Camacho led the charge by putting up nine points in addition to eight boards and five blocks. Camacho is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as she's posted one of at least 60% in the last three games she's played. Adelaide Norman was another key player, earning ten points along with eight rebounds and three steals.

Toppenish smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in five consecutive matchups.

Toppenish's record is now 13-9. As for Quincy, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost 13 of their last 14 games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 4-18 record this season.

Coming up, Toppenish will square off against Grandview at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Toppenish is facing Grandview at the right time seeing as Grandview is stuck on a three-game losing streak. Quincy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
