Football Recap: Tocoi Creek Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Tocoi Creek had lost seven straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Friday they dropped down to 4-5 to make it eight. They took a blow against the Nease Panthers, falling 36-0. The contest marked the first time this season in which the Toros were not able to get on the board.

Jacob Froehlich threw for 85 yards on 11 of 22 attempts. Bryton Baker was his top target, picking up 68 receiving yards.

As for Nease, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-2. Give their defense some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.

Aiden Phifer had a dynamite game, throwing for 217 yards and five TDs while completing 88.9% of his passes. Those five passing touchdowns gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Chase Phifer, who picked up 96 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Tocoi Creek has already played their next matchup (against Oakleaf), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Nease, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 47-17 victory against Beachside on the 30th.
