Volleyball Recap: Arleta Falls Short of Animo South Los Angeles in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Arleta can now relate to. They fell just short of the Animo South Los Angeles Panthers by a score of 3-2 on Monday.

Animo South Los Angeles' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Edwin Villegas, who had 13 digs. That's the most digs Villegas has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Jesse Dubon, who had nine digs and one assist.

Arleta's defeat dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Animo South Los Angeles, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 15-15.

Arleta does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Animo South Los Angeles, they will challenge Wilson at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
