Baseball Game Preview: Fallbrook Warriors vs. Rancho Buena Vista Longhorns

For the second straight game, Fallbrook will face off against Rancho Buena Vista. The Warriors will venture away from home to challenge the Longhorns at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. Fallbrook's hitters haven't had much luck over their past three games, but Saturday's contest will give them a chance to turn things around.

On Thursday, Fallbrook didn't have quite enough to beat Rancho Buena Vista and fell 2-1.

For Rancho Buena Vista's part, Ty Lowry spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on five hits and racked up seven Ks. Lowry also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because the Longhorns are 3-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 4-12 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Anthony Fanelli was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. That double was his first of the season.

Fallbrook's loss dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Rancho Buena Vista, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-13.
