Baseball Recap: La Porte Find Success

La Porte owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Saturday. They came out on top against the Plymouth Pilgrims/Rockies by a score of 4-0. The victory continues a trend for the Slicers in their matchups with the Pilgrims/Rockies: they've now won six in a row.

Ethan Schoof tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over six innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because La Porte is 2-1 when he allows at most three earned runs, but 3-8 otherwise.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Bryce McShane, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high. Gage Raymond was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

La Porte's win bumped their record up to 5-9. As for Plymouth, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season.
