Softball Recap: Vincennes Lincoln Comes Up Short

Vincennes Lincoln lost against Castle back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Alices fell 12-8 to the Knights. The Alices have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Grace Archer made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Emma Cunningham was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one home run and four RBI.

Vincennes Lincoln's defeat dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Castle, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-11.

Looking ahead, Vincennes Lincoln will be playing in front of their home fans against Evansville Memorial at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Alices' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tigers have averaged an impressive 8.5 runs per game this season. As for Castle, they are taking a road trip to square off against Heritage Hills at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
