Baseball Recap: St. Paul's Takes a Loss

St. Paul was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Covington Lions. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Wolves have suffered since February 20th.

St. Paul's got a good showing from Drake Baudoin, who tossed 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. That's the fewest hits Baudoin has allowed since back in February.

St. Paul's defeat dropped their record down to 9-17. As for Covington, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-8 record this season.

While St. Paul's had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
