Soccer Recap: Independence Starts Season with Defeat on the Road

Independence kicked off their season on the road on Monday and hit a couple of potholes. They lost 4-1 to the Cristo Rey Cougar. The contest was a close 1-0 at the break, but unfortunately for Independence it sure didn't stay that way.

The win made it two in a row for Cristo Rey and bumps their season record up to 2-1.

Looking ahead, Independence will be playing at home against Columbus International at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Cristo Rey, they will head out on the road to face off against Pickerington North at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
