Football Game Preview: McDowell Trojans vs. Steubenville Big Red + How To Watch

The McDowell Trojans are taking a road trip to square off against the Steubenville Big Red at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Things were looking good for McDowell after they put the first points on the board on Friday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They fell 21-12 to Austintown-Fitch. Having soared to a lofty 45 points in the game before, the Trojans couldn't push the score so high this time.

Meanwhile, Steubenville came tearing into Friday's contest with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 24 points), and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single point of losing the streak, but they secured a 35-34 W against the Crusaders.

McDowell's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Steubenville, their victory bumped their record up to 5-2.

McDowell might still be hurting after the 44-21 defeat they got from Steubenville when the teams last played back in October of 2024. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Trojans were down 29-7.
