Basketball Recap: Mountain Ridge Comes Up Short

Mountain Ridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 71-22 loss at the hands of the Pinnacle Pioneers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Pioneers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 77-26 two weeks ago.

Pinnacle's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Norah Moo, who dropped a double-double with 21 points and 17 boards. Moo has been hot for a while, having posted nine or more rebounds the last ten times she's played. Rylee Fraley was another key player, going 5-for-9 en route to 11 points along with eight assists and six boards.

Mountain Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 6-18. As for Pinnacle, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 20-5 record this season.

Mountain Ridge has already played their next match, a 79-21 loss against O'Connor on the 12th. As for Pinnacle, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 71-42 victory against Liberty on the 13th.
