Baseball Recap: Calhoun Academy Wins Going Away Against Clarendon Hall

Calhoun Academy barely beat Clarendon Hall the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Cavaliers blew past the Saints 11-1 on Friday. The Cavaliers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matches by six runs or more this season.

Calhoun Academy got a big performance out of Cael Parler, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Cullen Sightler, who scored two runs while going 2-for-2.

Calhoun Academy is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.5 runs over those games. As for Clarendon Hall, their loss was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-6.

Looking ahead, Calhoun Academy will head out to take on Orangeburg Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Indians will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Cavaliers surely won't give up without a fight. Clarendon Hall does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
